Couple of notes on the PAL race:
Mark Vingralek just missed the top 10 list for freshmen on the Crystal Springs Course.

Carlmont had all 7 runners dip under 16 minutes.  When was the last time a team had their entire 7 do that?

Some very impressive times from today's races.  CCS is just around the corner.

A couple of notes about the performance of the Carlmont Boys yesterday. Their combined team time of 78:17 ties for 28 on the all-time list a Crystal and is just 8 seconds back from the team time posted by Mountain View 2 years ago when it won the State Meet and posted the best combined time at State. The performance posted despite some seriously cold and fairly windy conditions. Any suggestion that Carlmont was aided by the elements is misguided.

Also of note at the PAL champs, was the top 18 boys sub-16 minutes. That's more than WCAL, SCVAL, and BVAL combined.

No question that the PAL race was very fast but the they also had better conditions than the previous three days. We (WBAL) ran on Friday and the course and conditions were even better than the day before.

I hope that we all luck out again in terms of conditions on Saturday as I think we are going to see some VERY FAST times in all the divisions.

Best of luck to all the competitors.
