I'll answer the best I can. I run for Valley Christian in San Jose.

1) What was your longest single run of the season?

Coach took us on a run to an abandoned mine in Quicksilver, I don;t know the name of it but he does. It was pretty long and he had to bring water. 12 I think.

2) What was your toughest workout (pace/rest/length)?

Montgomery Hill Reps!

3) Did you do morning runs?

No.

4) What was the best invitational you attended?

Mt. Sac!!!

5) What was your highest total of mileage for one week during the summer or season?

I don't really know...

6) What is the best tradition on your team?

We made new ones this year like going on this run with a tree swing out into a river. We made everyone try at least once!

7) How long was a typical practice for your team?

2:45 to 5:30 pm

8) What was your favorite xc course this past season?

Crystal, Woodward, Mt. Sac

9) What was the most impressive performance you witnessed this past season?

Morgan Lira is a beast and always runs so hard!

10) What athletes and/or coaches would you like to see interviewed on this site?

I am biased but I'd like to see Morgan Lira and Coach Small. Maybe the Bellarmine coach too!

1) a couple 16 milers
2) 10 mile tempo (it was tough but probably my favorite as well)
3) yea, at least 3 days/week
4) Stanford, it was the only one I got to go to this year.
5) 76
6) making sure everyone is comfortable slapping anyone on the teams butt
7) 2:15 - 4:30ish
8) I didn't get to race it this season, but Crystal Springs is definitely the best course i've ever raced at and I wish I could've run there this season.
9) I really enjoyed seeing Parker Schuh get 2nd place in D2 at state
10) I would really like to hear Parker's thoughts on that performance and even Mountain View coach Jim Bordoni.

I run for Saint Ignatius in San Francisco. All these answers are for the varsity group.
1) We did one run during the summer that was about 13 miles, during the season our longest was about 11 or 12.
2) We did 2400 repeats x4 at about 9:00, with 1 min recovery between, the last 2 were in flats.
3)During the summmer we did, not during the regualr season.
4) The Earlybird invitational was fun, because it's a good early seaon marker, even though the conditions are always pretty tough.
5) During the summer I ran 65 one week.
6) The nights before our league meets we have a team dinner, which is always fun.
7) Our practices were from about 2:50 until 5:30.
8)My favorite course was Crystal Springs, and the WCAL #1 course. e run both of them during our league season. WCAL #1 is our home course.
9)Watching the Bellarmine team, another WCAL school run so well together was pretty cool. Watching Parker Schuh do so well at state was also awesome, since the CCS is often bashed.
10)Even though he's my coach it would be cool to get an interview from Coach Pup, or one from the Bellarmine coach.
