My real time was really a 54:38. I think my headstart time got screwed up. I was in the same group as Steven and Reed, but they gave me the headstart of Jacque. So i dont know what happened but on Dipsea.org my time is right. All in all, I thought the dipsea was a great race. There were a great group of runners there. I saw coach lynch of petaluma a bunch of MCAL runners along with myself and Jacque Taylor of Casa Grande. I thought this race was wonderful and will probably run it next year. Even the fans are great, and i encourage any high school runner to run it, because of the history and the overall feel of the race.

Erik, thanks for the correction. I just checked dipsea.org and they have your time as 51:38 as well. It's very possible, as you said, that they could have mixed up your time with someone else but regardless, congratulations on being the first high school finisher and for winning one of those elusive black shirts.

11 Roy Kissin Larkspur 51 51:14 57.14

Roy Kissin is the man! 8:52 for 3200 in High School. He is the San Ramon School Record Holder in that race. It's good to know that he is running strong still. My coaches have told me some pretty cool stories about this guy. Pretty sure that his son runs for Redwood HS now...9:40s for 3200??

Yes! Kissin ran bests of 9:41/4:31. It was nice to see so many great MCAL runners win black shirts in the dipsea. A runner to look out for is Steven Iglehart (4:30/9:34). He is quite a talented runner (especially track 2008 was the first season he actually did off season training).

MCALs will be really interesting with Steven, Erik Olson, Cory Rand, Peter Kissin, and Brian Hernandez battling up front.
