though i enjoy the attention, i actually came in as mv's fourth runner, the combined results put as the fifth for some reason i don't know and moved danny bartz up as the fourth when actually he is the true fifth mv runner.

Thanks Dustin. I will make the correction.

I see what happened. In the race, you came ahead of Danny but with the same time. When every runner was put into one race, the computer organizes the order by alphabetical order if there are ties in times.

Anyway you look at it, great run for MV. Top 5 under 16.

Do you think the course may have been a bit shorter this year?

and

In the previous years they always paced the race for a 5k - so runners like Chris Simpson from my school in 2005 ran a 15:31 and close to 5 flat pace, was that just completely wrong?

Bhavik,

From what I have heard, the course was a bit shorter this year.

In the past, the course was incorrectly listed as a 3.1 mile course in the results but that was a mistake. The course has always been 3.0 miles except for perhaps this year when it could have been a bit short.

will you have all-NCS teams for each division? or overall?

Thanks.
also
is there anything like a list of a all-time team times? in record? for NCS?

Albert Caruana said...

All-NCS teams will be for overall.

Regarding team times for the Hayward course, I will have to do some research and see what I can turn up.

Albert,
I think it would be interesting to compare times of some of the runners who won their respective races this year, compare to their times last year. A couple of the girls times improveD a lot, even if you say the course maight have been shorter.

Where did the course change? It seems the same as last year.

Peter Brewer said...

Perhaps all the rhetoric about how the Hayward course is perhaps shorter might be obviated if we consider that all over the state and nation as well athletes have been running faster than the previous few years. All of the major courses have seen tremendous rearrangement of their top time lists, and it seems that Hayward might be no exception.
